Theme Thursdays: Crockery/Utensil- March 17

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:

•A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
•Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
•Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
•It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”
This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

This week’s theme is – CROCKERY / UTENSIL
Leave a comment at Reading Between Pages here with a link to your post.

My current read: Stolen: A letter to my captor by Lucy Christopher

Those cupboards contained pretty much the same sort of stuff any other kitchen would: bowls, plates, cooking utensils. Nothing of use to me unless I hit you over the head with a frying pan. It was tempting.

  1. LOL LOL. sounds like something my brother would say. Such a funny statement! What was the context in which this was being said? I am curious

Well, she was stolen (kidnapped) and wanted to find a weapon to try and protect herself.
It is a great story and very well written.

Awwww . . . I'd love to have a fully stocked kitchen like that! But cooking would probably be the last thing on my mind as well, if I had just been kidnapped! LOL!
